Grifters by XCOPY is a limited-edition NFT collection released via Async Blueprints, featuring 666 glitch-heavy animated PFPs on the Ethereum blockchain. The collection reflects XCOPY's signature themes of death, dystopia, and digital decay—resonating with both collectors and the Web3 art community. Crafted collectible minting UX with integrated wallet logic, randomized outputs, and animated glitch visuals on-chain. Ethereum, Async Blueprint protocol, IPFS hosting for media, OpenSea and LooksRare integration.

Launched in December 2021, Grifters is a high-demand generative NFT drop by renowned crypto artist XCOPY. Hosted on Ethereum and powered by Async’s on-chain minting technology, the collection sold out instantly and remains one of the most culturally influential PFP projects in the space. With floor prices above 16 ETH and top offers hitting 60 ETH, the collection holds a place in the upper echelon of digital fine art NFTs.

The challenges

We tackled the complexity of trait-layer rendering, fee optimization, and real-time trait reveal. The UX emphasized intuitive discovery and ownership – through clean interfaces and responsive layout built for collectors. Wallet connection, metadata visibility, and transaction transparency were key for trust and ease of use.

The Solutions

We worked with Async’s Blueprint engine to structure a generative drop system that supports randomized traits and artist-defined variability. The minting UI supported real-time previews, metadata generation, and gas-optimized interaction. With over 10.8K ETH in trading volume and a floor price above 16 ETH, Grifters helped define a new wave of on-chain generative art experiences.
